Everything you need to know before playing Sonido.
Sonido is a free ear-training game: you listen to a target tone once, then match it by ear by dragging a slider until your guess sounds right. It trains relative pitch the way Wordle trains word recall.
Press play to hear a target tone — it plays once. Drag the slider until your guess sounds like a match, then lock in your answer to score it and move to the next tone. After five tones, you get a score you can share without spoiling the answers.
Daily gives everyone the same five target tones each day, so you can compare scores with friends without spoiling the puzzle. Practice generates a fresh random set any time, with no limit on attempts.
Difficulty changes how forgiving the scoring is and how close your guess needs to land to the target pitch to earn full marks. Hard rewards more precise relative pitch.
Yes. Sonido is free, with no account, login, or purchase required to play.
No. Sonido has no accounts or logins. Your device generates its own anonymous id to track daily attempts, and nothing is tied to your name or email.
Your score is based on how close your guessed pitch is to the target tone. Closer matches earn more points, and the exact target tones are never revealed in a shared score.
Any speakers or headphones work, but a quiet room and decent headphones make it easier to hear small pitch differences, especially on Hard.
Native iOS and Android apps are in development. For now, Sonido is playable free in any web browser.
